Who Says You're Not Beautiful?
Comparing BB & CC Creams to Mineral Makeup
Recently I set out to evaluate the BB Creams on the market. My intent was to find my favorite texture, coverage and shades to use as a model for making my own formula. I brought home samples of all the most popular creams from the most popular retail stores. After trying them on I was not in love. Not at all. I began to think, what do BB Creams or CC Creams have to offer that I don’t already offer in Mineral Makeup? Hopefully this blog can answer that question. After reviewing the benefits and ingredients of all products, I decided to stick with Mineral Makeup.

Moisturizing Mist
With winter approaching, consider these ideas to add a little moisture to your face:
[extracted from Teen Vogue]
Spray and Go "If you've over-powdered your face and it's lost its luster, just spritz on a bit of mist. It immediately returns the makeup to a healthy glow! This little tip will save your makeup from looking too matte."
Pump up Your Shadow "Add water to shadow to make it more intense. Use a small spray bottle to mist your shadow and press the brush into your product. Don't rub or swipe it around because you want to really pack the shadow into the brush. The key is to go easy on the water, adding a little bit at a time. Then pat it onto the lid for your most pigmented, shadow look ever."
Lighten Your Foundation "This is one of my favorite pro tips and I think everyone should try it! You can sheer out your foundation to create a lighter coverage for warm spring and summer months without having to buy any new products. The secret is dampening your makeup sponge before using it to apply your foundation of choice. Start by running it underwater. Then squeeze it a couple times under the stream to make sure it is saturated evenly. Dry it in a towel so it is just slightly damp to the touch. Dip it in your favorite foundation and you are all set!"
Clearly Radiant Mineral Glow
Clearly Radiant Mineral Glow is a clear, almost see-thru shimmering mica powder. It is perfect to use to highlight any area of your face or body. I prefer it on these areas:
- Eyes: line the inner corner contours of your eyes to widen eyes.
- Brow: brushed ust under the outer third of your eye brow opens up the eye area.
- Nose: a line brushed down the middle of your nose visually narrows the bridge of your nose.
- Cheeks: lightly brushed at the top of your cheek bones, above blush can give a youthful glow.
- For special occasions: consider mixing a small amount into any of your makeup powders to amp up the shimmer power!
